چکیده

In this study, the pyrolysis procedure was used to extract oil from pomegranate peels (PP) utilizing biomass-derived sulfonated tea waste as a catalyst. FTIR, SAA, SEM, and XRD were characterize Thermo-catalytic decomposition carried out in salt bath reactor bio-oil composition determined through GC-MS. The obtained virgin PP observed contain compounds range of C5–C13, whereas catalyzed reaction it found be rich C5–C23. For calculation kinetic parameters, TG analysis performed with catalyst at different heating rates. TG/DTG indicated weight loss four steps. first below 100 °C is due physically adsorbed water molecule evaporation. second attributed hemicellulose third one cellulose degradation. fourth lignin Kissinger model for measuring activation energy (Ea) reaction. hemicellulose, cellulose, non-catalytic reactions 199, 249, 299 kJmol−1, while case loaded catalyst, Ea reduced 122, 163, 207 respectively, confirming effectiveness From these findings, can concluded that has not only lowered temperature but also brought change quality by enhancing value-added bio-oil.

A Two-step Catalytic Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil

Waste cooking oil (WCO) was used as a potential feedstock for biodiesel production. High levels of free fatty acids (9.85% w/w) in WCO made it an undesirable substrate for direct transesterification reaction. To solve this issue, a two-step process was implemented in this research. Firstly, esterification reaction was performed in presence of sulfuric acid as a common acid catalyst to reduce th...

Bio Gas Oil Production from Waste Lard

Besides the second generations bio fuels, one of the most promising products is the bio gas oil, which is a high iso-paraffin containing fuel, which could be produced by the catalytic hydrogenation of different triglycerides. To broaden the feedstock of the bio gas oil the catalytic hydrogenation of waste lard over sulphided NiMo/Al(2)O(3) catalyst, and as the second step, the isomerization of ...

Transesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst

Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...
